I can't believe that there are people in this area who would vote liberal, after the last 10 years of Trudeau's disastrous policies and mishandling of everything he touched. I can only suspect those people are newcomers to Alberta.

I guess it all depends on whether you're past- or future-focused. A few months ago, when Trudeau was the leader and Trump was only a Presidential candidate, I would not have voted Liberal, and that would have been because I was focused on the past ten years. But everything has changed for me now. Trudeau is gone and Trump is President and what we will need for our future is a leader who's a respected, world-class economist who can bring Canadians together in a positive way. Carney is both those things, while Poilievre is most definitely not.

RI

Any true Conservative would vote for Carney. The reform party running under the CPC banner is fomenting hate and division, and taking advantage of people's post-COVID economic frustration and misunderstanding of how governments should work. Poilievre is hoping that Trump style politics will work in Canada and that all the same people he hates will vote for him if he promises to take away the very supports and policies that make our country strong. We are a sovereign nation and Poilievre and Smith have openly said they want to do MORE trade with the USA, making us MORE dependant on the crumbling nation to the south of us, while PM Carney is out there, boots on the ground (to use PP's slogan) establishing more trade relationships and ensuring our European allies are behind us when it comes to supplying military equipment and support to ensure that we stay Canada Strong.

RI

Have you gone to the CPC website and read their platform and policies? Highly recommend. Smith was not kidding when she said that Poilievre's policies are closely aligned with Trump's.

No you are wrong there. I grew up in Alberta was for years a strong Conservative when they were Progressive Conservative. This new brand of Conservatism trades on the name while offering nothing close to responsible government of the past. The Conservative party left me a long time go.

I'm generally more left leaning anyways (though Carney's liberals are more center-left, despite what right-wing media wants all the con voters to believe) but I am actually concerned about having to wake up every morning knowing Poillievre is in a position of power.

Remember folks, Carney is NOT Trudeau. Put your political "identity" aside, get informed, and vote for CANADA's best interests.

PP is just slogans. The latest is that everybody is going to get trained for the trades. For what Jobs? Has he said anything about Projects? He's going to give everybody a 15% tax reduction, but where's the money coming from? DS gives us our own money then complains and cuts because she has no money. PP will do the same.

MC is talking about Projects, pipelines energy corridors etc. MC will get something done. JT got TMX built when the O&G industry was bailing from the project.

Paint a car a new color, its the same car. Carney's whole Mantra from his days at the Bank of Canada/England until a MONTH ago were NET ZERO. The Liberal party was given financial advice from, wait for it, Mark Carey for the past few years. Its still the same party, still the same Gerald Butts steered policy plan. The TMX got built because the regulatory hurdles made it impossible to build. Either you work for the CBS, the Liberal party or you yell at clouds. Carney is Globalist elite. Honestly do some research, not just repeat the Liberal party narrative. He'll build pipeline corridors, lol...

Kinda hope people vote liberal (I don't actually) because then Alberta will have no other choice but to make changes.
Have you read Carney's book?
Net zero.
Alberta is oil industry and agriculture. How will any of that be possible at net zero?
Tractors can't run on sunshine.
How many people in Alberta can say their job is not related to either industry? Directly or indirectly.
