Alberta doctors say province seeks to cut $400M in billing fees

Alberta doctors say province seeks to cut $400M in billing fees

Gee I can't imagine why we have a shortage of residents to fill open roles and struggle to find family doctors... It's ok though, I'm sure that $400M they're saving will be reinvested in education and infrastructure and totally isn't paying for her trips down south to peddle her B S diplomacy while the rest of Canada fights together against US threats.

I am not a church goer nor am I affiliated with any religion, but when I read this in the paper I was so moved by this. Keep up the great work Okotoks UC!

I'm not religious in any way but there's been a lot of research done about the positive aspects of religion and church groups building community. While I agree some churches and religions have contributed to intolerance, this one is clearly trying to flip the script - and good on them for doing so.

As another commenter said, "woke" being used as an insult is growing tiresome. Next time you want to say this, try "people are getting tired of this awarness of important issues of racial and social justice". How does that feel??

Not all human beings are marginalized and attacked by their government. This is about awareness and compassion for those groups who aren't being supported.

Are conservatives capable of literally anything except dumping all over others? Barlow, Pollievre, Smith ... their entire personality is based on slandering the other side. Maybe they wouldn't be losing popularity if they came to the table with an actual platform aside from "liberal bad".

(not sure if this will reply to a reply?)
I can certainly see how this is damaging, however I can't see this being entirely a Liberal problem. Standard of living in the US has drastically declined as well since the pandemic era. A lot of people were unhappy with how the pandemic was handled on both sides of the border but given the lack of precedent, governments responded with what they felt was right based on the information given and unless we get a time machine, we'll never be able to go back and see if the conservatives could've done better. If Canada was in serious decline during this period of COVID and no other country was, then maybe I'd lay blame on the government.

This is related to a home/vehicle vandalism where the resident has a US flag - CTV interviewed the victim... Funny they failed to mention the "TRUMP" and "2024" banners they had hanging on either side of their door during the election season. They only talked about how disappointed they are, how they're just "patriotic".
Maybe you forgot about the banners? Seems like whoever vandalized your property remembers.

Wow. The "woe is me" mentality of the Republican party and supporters is truly astonishing.

It's weird for me to finish reading an article about Smith without rage burning up from my core. Nice to see she's finally backing Canada the country, not just Alberta the oil patch though I'd feel better if she hadn't expressed support for Keystone. The US can no longer be trusted and they don't "need" Canada after all.. they need to fully experience the "find out" stage.
