Local singer-songwriter Brettyn Rose, pictured performing during Rhythms for Rowan House at the Okotoks Elks Hall on Sept. 28, is once again among the headliners of the annual Okotoks Food Bank Christmas Concert.

A festive fundraiser will be returning to town next week.

The Okotoks Food Bank Christmas Concert, dubbed Soul Food 2024, will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 10 and Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Okotoks Evangelical Free Church.

There will be performances by The Charms (Denis Dufresne and Megan Ann Konschuh), Calum Graham, 33 Union (Mike Martel and Shaun Cardinal), Mike King, Brettyn Rose and Chase Morgan, Dwight Forseth and Jim McLennan, MzBehavin' and Ribeye Cap with Pat Hanley on both days.

In addition, Amy Bishop will perform during the Tuesday show, while the Carolyn Harley Trio takes the stage the following day.

Diamond Valley cowboy poet Doris Daley will emcee the Tuesday show.

Tickets are still available at Eventbrite and cost $25, with all proceeds going toward the Okotoks Food Bank. Last year's concerts raised a record-breaking $120,000 for the organization.

Demand for the Okotoks Food Bank's services has doubled in the last five years, with this year's demand for monthly hampers up 36 per cent from 2023.

Both shows start at 7 p.m. at the Okotoks Evangelical Free Church, 28 Westland Rd.
