The WCLC says a $1 million lottery ticket was purchased in Alberta for a March 19 Lotto 6/49 draw

Someone in Alberta might have a $1 million lottery ticket in their pocket.

The Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) said the six-figure ticket, for Lotto 6/49’s Gold Ball Guaranteed Prize draw on March 19, was purchased somewhere outside of Calgary or Edmonton.

The million-dollar-winning number is 36935905-01, and it needs to be an exact match, WCLC said.

In the same draw, two other winners in Alberta, both outside of the big cities, won $10,000 each, WCLC said.

For the classic draw, one ticket in Ontario matched all six digits for the $5 million jackpot.

It’s not known if anyone has come forward to claim any of the prizes.

The lottery corporation said prizes from Lotto 6/49 can be claimed up to one year after the draw date.
