Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Okotoks and surrounding areas.
Snow is expected to begin falling this afternoon with accumulations at 2 cm and an afternoon high of –8C.
Snow is forecast to be heavy at times tonight with accumulations from five to 10 cm.
Tomorrow is expected to see heavy snow at times with accumulations also expected from five to 10 cm.
The forecast calls for periods of snow tomorrow night before conditions turn cold and clear.
The weekend warm up in an earlier forecast has been pushed back as daytime highs the rest of the week are all expected to be below seasonal with tomorrow and Thursday at –19C, Friday at –17C and the weekend at –9C and –10C.
