The Western Wheel poll is a sampling of public opinion intended solely to allow our readers to express themselves on issues of the day. Its findings may not be representative of the general population of Okotoks and Foothills or other areas.
My observation on the paths by the river is that many riders go way too fast for their ability. This is all ages and along with all the other vehicles using these paths it can be very dangerous. Is there a speed limit, an age limit and if so who will enforce it.
The birds do have a speed limit and don’t go that fast, however a privately owned one is probably different
I think they are great. Sometimes can be a nuisance by where they are left but it is nice to have these as an option. It’s nice to see people outside and having fun. I have never experienced an issue with them on pathways. No different than bicycles.
