Summer isn’t finishing in style in the Foothills, but fall is starting off with a bang.

Environment Canada’s forecast for Okotoks and surrounding areas calls for a 60 per cent chance of showers tonight and tomorrow, with tomorrow’s daytime high only expected to reach 14C.

Weather conditions improve significantly after that as the long-range forecast calls for five straight days of sun, with temperatures steadily rising from 18C on Saturday to highs of 25C and 27C next Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.

The overnight low on Friday is expected to dip to 1C, but rise steadily in the following days.
