Mayor's annual update to talk growth, taxes in Okotoks

Growth, taxes and the future of Okotoks will be topics for discussion during the mayor’s annual update next week. 

The Mayor’s Town Update takes place on Thursday, Jan. 16 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Viking Rentals Centre. 

Residents will hear about key accomplishments from the Town’s Strategic Plan, services that are funded by residents from taxes and utility fees, and future growth plans and what they mean for the town. 

After a presentation by Mayor Tanya Thorn, Town councillors and representatives from different departments will be available to answer questions. 

Interactive displays will provide information about waste, transportation, water, economic development, and emergency services, the Town said.
