Okotoks postpones street sweeping parking bans due to snowfall

Favourable conditions are allowing annual post-winter clean-up to begin early this year.
A Town of Okotoks street sweeper tidies up the road down to the Lion’ s Park Campground on Mar. 31.
Street sweepers were scheduled to be operating in the downtown core on April 1 and 2, but the weekend snowfall has postponed that activity.

The Town of Okotoks has postponed parking bans for a number of streets in the downtown area.

The bans were to be in effect on Tuesday, April 1 and Wednesday, April 2 in order for street sweeping to take place but have been postponed due to the weekend snowfall.

The Town says it will provide updated information as soon as the routes are confirmed again.

For more information regarding parking bans and maintenance routes, contact Okotoks Municipal Enforcement at 403-995-6302, the Transportation Business Centre at 403-938-8952 or visit https://www.okotoks.ca/maintenance-routes.

Well, one hates to say it, but it's the truth this year for sure - "we need the moisture"
