Your chance to fix what’s broken happens this weekend in Okotoks.
The Town of Okotoks is holding its first Repair Café of the year on Saturday, Jan. 25 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Viking Rentals Centre.
For the uninitiated, the events offer an opportunity to fix old electronics, small appliances, toys, clothing, housewares and more, avoiding a trip to the landfill.
The list of accepted items includes gaming consoles, CD and DVD players, cameras, adaptor cords, toasters, coffee makers, lamps, waffle makers, smaller furniture pieces and clean clothing and housewares. Microwaves and vacuums are not accepted.
Food bank donations are accepted at the café with attendees encouraged to bring non-perishable food items with them.
