Outdoor ice rink volunteers needed in Okotoks

Town looking for volunteers to help maintain 13 outdoor rinks, half of which are now open.

The Town of Okotoks is looking for outdoor ice rink volunteers.  

The volunteer positions are suited for those who love being outdoors while getting involved in their community.  

Volunteers will help maintain outdoor ice rinks throughout the season with duties such as ice inspections, shovelilng snow, snow blowing and repairing cracks.  

The Town has 13 outdoor rinks, including a boarded rink at St. John Paul II Collegiate and a skating trail at Lions Campground. 

As of Dec. 20, seven of the rinks are open with another three listed as ‘in progress’ on the Town of Okotoks’ website.
