Parking bans coming to several Okotoks neighbourhoods

More parking bans are coming as street sweeping continues in Okotoks

Street sweeping, and the resulting parking bans, have resumed in Okotoks.

The Town of Okotoks has declared the next round of parking bans for Wednesday, May 8 and Thursday, May 9. The parking bans are in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

On May 8, bans will be in effect on the following routes:   

  • Clark Avenue from Okotoks Drive to Knight Street 
  • Knight Street from Clark Avenue to Pacific Avenue 
  • Pacific Avenue from Knight Street to Crescent Road East 
  • Clark Avenue from Okotoks Drive to Knight Street 
  • Drake Landing Drive from 32nd Street to Drake Landing Road  
  • Drake Landing Road from Drake Landing Drive to Milligan Drive 

On May 9, bans will be in effect on: 

  • Woodhaven Drive from Southridge Drive to Woodbend Way  
  • Woodgate Road from Southridge Drive to Woodhaven Drive 
  • Westland Gate from Southridge Drive to Westridge Drive  
  • Westridge Drive from Southridge Drive to Westland Street 

In accordance with a Town bylaw, all vehicles and obstructions must be removed from the road during the parking ban timeframe. While parking bans are in effect, members of the public are encouraged to use alternate routes wherever possible to allow for road crews to work efficiently and safely.   

All other services, such as waste collection, emergency responders and mail deliveries, will not be affected.
