Healthy pets are happy pets, which is why Dr. Richard Bibby provides on-site vet services for household pets and small ruminants.
“My business provides at-home veterinary service, this is very beneficial for animals that may become stressed leaving home or travelling. It also benefits senior animals that have mobility issues, and pet owners who also may find travel an issue for one reason or another,” he says.
Dr. Bibby’s experience spans more than 50 years. He was raised on a farm in rural Alberta and developed a lifelong interest in small animals, horses and livestock. After graduating from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon
in 1973, Dr Bibby entered mixed animal practice in Alberta providing care for both large and small animals. Over the years he has transitioned to small animal practice.
“I do enjoy it. I love it,” he smiles. “I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine. Travelling to my patients’ homes allows me to offer a service in a unique way. Many times it is easier for the animal and the owner to have someone go to them. While there is certainly a need and a lot of value in any type of veterinary practice (on-site, mobile, pet hospital), I’m happy I can fill this niche for pet and small ruminant animal owners in Okotoks, High River, Foothills, Calgary and the surrounding areas.”

Accommodating the busy lives of pet owners, flexible scheduling allows for veterinary care that fits into the owner's timetable, providing an added layer of convenience. Additionally, this approach to veterinary service minimizes the risk of exposure to other sick animals, thereby enhancing the safety and well-being of your pet.
Dr Bibby's hours are from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Friday and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday. These extended hours provide an evening option for those that need after work appointments.
