After a successful spring trial run, a Calgary Roller Skate pop-up is returning to Okotoks.
In May, Foothills Composite High School graduate Theresa Tucci, who owns Calgary Roller Skate with Nerd Roller Skate shop owner Roxy Acetylene, brought the first roller rink event back to her hometown after numerous requests to expand to the city's satellite communities.
With a decent turn out at the trial run, the pair figured they'd make another trip down south.
The second pop-up roller rink will take over the Foothills Centennial Centre on Nov. 26, with both family and evening skate session.
From 2:30 pm to 4:30 p.m. DJ Creole will be on deck playing radio-friendly music for the all-ages crowd. Tickets for youth 14 and under are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Adults are $13 in advance and $15 at the door and spectators are also welcome for $8 in advance $10 at the door.
The evening session, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.will feature more adult music from DJ Creole. General admission for all ages in advance is $13 and $15 at the door. Spectators are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
Advanced ticket sales end on Nov. 25 at noon.
Rental skates are available for both sessions for $8. Prices don't include GST.
