The Sheep River Health Trust is offering a couple of unique Christmas experiences for Foothills children this year.
This holiday season, the non-profit is once again holding its Flip the Switch raffle as well as its popular Breakfast with Santa.
The Christmas season starts in earnest around here with Light Up Okotoks, held this year on Friday, Nov. 22, during which the community Christmas tree in Olde Towne Plaza will be illuminated.
The Sheep River Health Trust makes this event extra special by giving a child/youth the opportunity to be the one to ‘Flip the Switch’ that lights up the tree for the whole town.
Tickets for the raffle are now on sale.
On Saturday, Dec. 14, the trust is hosting its annual Breakfast with Santa at the Best Western Plus Okotoks Inn & Suites. Children can visit with St. Nick individually at their table and ask questions like, “Does Rudolph really have a red nose?”
Besides a delicious breakfast, children can have their faces painted and glitter tattoos along with treats to take home. Tickets go on sale on Nov. 13.
