Participants in the eighth annual Hike for Hospice will be taking to the pathways of Okotoks this weekend.
A day of community, compassion and camaraderie in support of Foothills Country Hospice, this year’s event, set for Sunday, May 5, has added a five-kilometre run, dubbed the Hospice Hustle, to the usual two- and five-kilometre hike routes.
The run and hike routes wind along the scenic Sheep River paved pathways in Okotoks, and are wheelchair-, stroller- and dog-friendly.
The event that supports end-of-life care in the Foothills region will include activities, food and fun in addition to the run and hike.
This year’s fundraising goal is $60,000.
