What a bumpy ride!
Alberta Sheriffs stopped a vehicle travelling on Highway 2A north of High River last week without a front tire and a significantly damaged rim.
During the traffic stop, the sheriff conducted a Mandatory Alcohol screening on the driver, which they failed. The driver took an appeal and requested a second breath test, which they also failed.
"The driver was impaired and unaware of where he was or that he had blown a tire," read a post to the Alberta Sheriffs Facebook page.
Impaired driving is the leading criminal cause of death in Canada, which "[makes] it a top priority for the Sheriff Highway Patrol and its law enforcement partners year-round."
