There’s a chance of severe thunderstorms in the Foothills today.
Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch on June 27 for Foothills County and the Okotoks area.
Thunderstorms are expected into the evening with the possibility of hail, Environment Canada said.
There could be 15 to 25 mm of rain in Okotoks before it ends on Friday morning.
The weather agency said severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for thunderstorms to develop that could produce large hail, damaging winds or torrential rainfall.
