Today is the last day to pay your Okotoks property taxes.

Property tax notices were mailed out by the Town of Okotoks in late May with payments due by June 30.

Any unpaid taxes will be subject to a penalty as of July 1.

Taxes can be paid in a variety of ways. Visit okotoks.ca/taxes for complete details.

The Town approved a residential tax hike of 4.6 per cent when the 2024 budget was passed. However, once requisitions were factored in, the real property tax increase is 6.8 per cent. Requisitions climbed by $1.7 million, and most of the increase is attributed to a rise in education property tax that is sent to the Government of Alberta.
