Highway 7 is closed in both directions west of Okotoks following a two-vehicle accident.
Deputy Chief Dave Hodgins with Okotoks Fire said a high-speed rear-end collision occurred on Highway 7 near the Okotoks Erratic.
Okotoks Fire responded to the scene at about 10:20 a.m. on Dec. 15., along with RCMP, EMS and Black Diamond Fire.
Two patients were transported to hospital by ground ambulance, both in serious condition.
An RCMP collision analyst will be investigating and the highway will remain closed in both directions for at least one more hour.
