Dylan Holloway's time with the Edmonton Oilers has come to an end.
The Bragg Creek forward, an Okotoks Jr. A Oilers star from 2017-19, officially joined the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday after the Edmonton Oilers chose not to match the offer-sheets he and defenceman Philip Broberg were tendered last week.
Seven days prior, the Blues shocked the hockey world by tendering offer sheets to the duo with Broberg signing a two-year, $4.58 million contract and Holloway landing a two-year, $2.29 million deal.
Edmonton had seven days to either match the offers or let the player go with a second and third round 2025 NHL Draft picks from the Blues coming back as compensation. The Oilers made their decision official Tuesday morning.

In a separate transaction, Edmonton acquired the rights to defenceman Paul Fischer and the Blues' third-round selection in the 2028 NHL Draft for future considerations.
Edmonton made a number of other moves in the wake of the offer-sheets in acquiring Russian forward Vasily Podkolzin from the Vancouver Canucks and moving right-shot defenceman Cody Ceci along with a draft pick to the San Jose Sharks for 24-year-old blueliner Ty Emberson.
Holloway has not yet commented on the move. Broberg spoke to St. Louis media on Tuesday morning and expressed his excitement with joining the Blues while noting he was happy with his time with the Oilers.
Holloway, a 22-year-old forward, was Edmonton's first-round selection (14th overall) in the 2020 Draft. He had nine points in 38 regular season games last season and stepped into a bigger role in the playoffs with three points in 10 games.
The offer-sheet has been a seldom used tool by NHL management with just three successful offer-sheets leading to players joining new teams since 2007, Broberg, Holloway and the 2017 acquisition of Jesperi Kotkaniemi by the Carolina Hurricanes from the Montreal Canadiens.
In separate divisions in the NHL's Western Conference, the Pacific and Central, respectively, the Oilers and Blues will first meet in Edmonton on Dec. 7 in what's sure to be a can't miss game for fans of both teams.
