Okotoks Raiders, HOKS medal at Canada Day tournament in Calgary

Okotoks teams had a field day at the longest-running box lacrosse tournament in North America.

The annual Calgary Canada Lacrosse Tournament saw a trio of Okotoks teams make finals with three silver medals from Raiders and HOKS teams from the long weekend competition featuring 98 teams from Canada and the U.S. in 10 divisions at the Soccer Centre.

In the largest division of the event, the HOKS South team secured the silver medal on the strength of three wins and a tie in round-robin play.

The Okotoks Raiders repeated the feat in the U15 C division with a 3-1 record.

Okotoks earned the silver medal as well in the U11 B division.

The Raiders were 4-0 in round-robin and played to an 8-7 defeat to North Okanagan in the final.

In the U17 A ranks, the HOKS ended in fifth place in the 13-team division with a 3-1 record and just missed out on the medal round. The Raiders were 11th in the U13 B division.
