Karen Debra-May James, 71, died Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the High River Hospital with her family by her side.
Karen was born August 23, 1952 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, to Orin and Helena Jacobson. She would fall in love with Donald James of Calgary, Alberta, both of them would tie the knot November 6, 1971.
Karen was a loving and caring wife and mother. She was also a loving grandmother to 3 grandchildren (Briella, Leo, and Emmitt James). Karen was a thoughtful and fair person to all she knew. Karen worked as an accountant for 40+ years, working at Marshall Wells in Edmonton, Alberta, Student Finance, Vulcan Ford, lastly working out her days at High River Ford in High River, Alberta.
During her active years, she and Don spent their summers camping and playing cards with friends. She was the love of his life, the one and only for him. She was his soulmate who he will always cherish and remember.
Karen is survived by her husband Donald R. James; son Rob James (Sarah); three (3) grand children; brothers Bernard Jacobson and Barry Jacobson.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Orin and Helena Jacobson; sister Sherry Kunkle.
