Born March 10, 1934. Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 22, 2024.
She is survived by a large, loving extended family. Her husband of sixty seven years Bill Miller. Her four children Richard Miller (Jean), Ellen Bass (Phillip), Yvonne Wolfe (Kevin), Vincent Miller (Kim). Loved equally by Orial were her: Grandchildren: Kelsey, Kristen, Kristofer, Kendall, Stephen, Andrea, Jasmine, Jocelyn, Liam, Drew, Chaz-a-rae and Cole. Great Grandchildren: Sophia, Rylee, Paityn, Kiptyn, Matthea, Evie, Dawson, Parker, Reese, James and Kennedy.
Orial lived a very full and happy life. She lived it entirely in the High River and Blackie communities, volunteering and participating in many different ways. She graduated from High River High School. She then went on to study nursing at the Holy Cross Hospital and was a proud nursing graduate in the class of 1956.
Later in life after raising her four children and working side by side with her loving husband on the farm, she decided she wanted to take on more challenges. She returned to her passion of caring for others while continuing to be an outstanding farmers’ wife. She was proud to go back to studying to regain her nursing status and then worked for several years in senior care at the Twilight Nursing Home and at the High River Hospital. Family and community were very important to Orial.
Her extended family and her community are invited to attend a celebration of her life at the High River United Church, 123 Macleod Tr. S.W., on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 3:00 pm. A reception will follow.
