It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Jean Steer (Meadows)
of High River, AB on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the age of 79 years.
She was born in Calgary, AB to Muriel and Charlie Meadows,and went
to school in Mossleigh, AB.
On March 29, 1963, she married Peter Steer and in July moved to Strome
Alberta and they lived there for four years and had their family, a daughter
Christene and a son Greggory. In the spring of 1967, they had the
opportunity to come farming and ran a mixed operation of hogs, cattle,
and grain. In1991 moved off the farm and retired in High River, Alberta.
Patricia better known as Pat loved to garden, baked cinnamon buns,
cookies, popcorn balls. Her hobbies were endless from cross stitch to
needle point and who didn’t receive a beautiful baby afghan blanket
which she was doing right up to the end. But her greatest passion was
spending time with her grand kids. Whether it was a water gun fight or a
mean game of ten thousand, she loved being with them.
Pat is survived by her daughter Christene (Zen) Buss, son Gregg (Jackie)
Steer, four grand children Kyle (Emily) Buss, Kassandra Buss, Michael
Steer, Peter (Emily) Steer, one great grand child Charolette Buss.
She is also survived by her sister Charlene Ehrhardt and bother
David (Connie) Meadows, sister in-law Janice Patterson, brother-in-law
Raymond (Anne) Steer along with her companion Dave Gillanders and
numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Patricia is predeceased by her husband Peter Steer, mother Muriel
Meadows, father Charlie Meadows, sister Leona Meadows, sister
Barbara Tohm, brother Donnie Meadows.
There will be no service held as the family will be doing a private
ceremony at Little Bow Resort as that was Pats sanctuary.
