Mom passed away in her sleep (no fuss, no drama) at the High River Hospital September 6, 2024.
Agnes was born in Cudworth, Saskatchewan on March 22,1940 to Rosie and Joseph Simon; the eldest of ten children.
She was predeceased by her parents, sister Betty, and grandchildren Cassidy and Kadyn.
Mom is survived by her children Kenneth (currently living in Quebec), Brian (Louise), Karen, Maureen Smith, and Patrick (all in Alberta). Also survived by her grandchildren Jordan (Tracey), Tori, Joshua (Adele) and Zachery and great-grandchildren Peyton, Conner, Brooklynn, Piper, Jakob, Liam, and Pryce.
Agnes’ surviving siblings Lillian, Elaine, Joyce, Gladys (Don), Roger (Mary Ann), James (Anita), Douglas and Brian, who are all still in Saskatchewan.
She will be missed by Trina Manship, who will always be part of the family and by dear friend Amanda Brown.
Mom grew up in Saskatchewan and married Dad, Eldon, at the age of fifteen. She loved to paint, read, watch her television game shows and most of all-the family pets-Old Sam, Sammie, Bart, Molly, and Maggie.
She taught her children that you must work to get what you want, use a hanky and wash your hands and do not go to bed with dirty feet.
A memorial service will be held at a later date as Agnes wished to hang out at home with her dogs for awhile.
