LETTER: Dark winter mornings on daylight saving time

Standard time provides more light in the morning, which studies show is best time of the day for it.

Dear Editor,

In the thought that many people do not quite understand daylight saving time, I would suggest that they look out the window on Dec. 21 at 9 a.m. and realize that the reason you are seeing light in the sky is because we are on standard time.

Were we to be on daylight saving time, you would have to wait half an hour for that to happen.

Studies show that it is best to have your light in the morning. Up until 1972, Alberta did just fine on standard time year-round. Let's be healthy.
