The really big one this year is the huge increase in the education property tax that will be on your new Municipal property tax bill. They gave a small cut to income tax and are clawing it back big time with this one.

I had thought about not voting but that seems to be a cop out so now I have to wait to see what the alternatives are in Lakeland. I'm not optimistic though.

I really would be shocked if there are any rural Alberta Liberal candidates. There may be more NDP candidates for those who wish to protest vote against the Conservatives. Surprise me!!

This is a gift from the UCP, they gave some Albertans an income tax cut and then proceeded to claw it back by increasing the education property tax, This is not a fair way to do things.

Unfortunately for Ukraine Trump doesn't care what happens to the country. HE only cares about making himself look like the tough guy who can make things happen. Sadly, Ukraine has not achieved NATO membership which would have made Putin think twice before he invaded a country that only wants to survive and thrive. Trump is bad for democracy everywhere in the world, including ours. I am hoping that things will turn around soon for the Ukraine.

Using addiction as a defense is out of control. This 62 year old woman will never be able to pay back the money she stole from this family. Justice was not served. The initial decision a person makes to use drugs or gamble is a choice in almost every instance. Choices have consequences.
