Environment Canada is calling for one more blast of winter before the arrival of summer-like temperatures.
The forecast for Okotoks and surrounding areas calls for rain showers this afternoon with a high of 11C, but as the temperature dips to –2C overnight, those showers turn to snow with accumulations of 2 to 4 cm.
Tomorrow’s forecast calls for light snow during the day with a high of 0C, with more snow overnight.
Temperatures remain at 0C on Thursday with a 60 per cent chance of flurries, but conditions are expected to change significantly beginning Friday when the high is expected to reach 8C.
It gets even warmer on the weekend with highs of 15C on Saturday and 22C on Sunday.
The average high temperature at this time of year is 7C.
