This year’s Western Wheel Cares 50/50 raffle could win someone as much as $4,000.
Part of the annual campaign to support local charities, the raffle has 4,000 tickets available at $2 each.
Tickets will be sold at the Elks Hall during the Okotoks Christmas Market on Friday, Nov. 17 and Saturday, Nov. 18. They’re also available at the Western Wheel office and will be sold by volunteers during Light Up Okotoks from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17.
The winning ticket will be announced in the Nov. 22 edition of the Western Wheel.
Western Wheel Cares supports seven local organizations: Foothills Advocacy in Motion Society, Foothills Country Hospice, Inclusion Foothills, Okotoks Food Bank, Pound Rescue, Rowan House Society and Sheep River Health Trust.
This year’s Western Wheel Cares campaign runs from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31 and 100 per cent of donations go to the seven charities.
In 2022, the campaign raised a record $82,670, pushing its 11-year total to $569,059.
