A collision with a utility pole left one driver injured on the morning of Dec. 12, according to first responders.
The collision happened on Highway 543, approximately 15 kilometres west of High River.
The High River Fire Department responded to the call at approximately 9:20 a.m., with responders describing foggy conditions and black ice as factors in the incident.
A weather alert issued for Foothills County indicates that a fog advisory is in effect as of this morning.
Dense fog patches have developed in the region and are expected to dissipate this morning, according to the Government of Canada.
The alert warns that travel is expected to be hazardous in the area due to reduced visibility in some locations, and that drivers should be prepared for areas of near-zero visibility.
