One injured after utility pole collision in foggy Foothills County

The High River Fire Department responded to the call at approximately 9:20 a.m., with responders describing foggy conditions and black ice as factors in the incident.

A weather alert issued for Foothills County indicates that a fog advisory is in effect as of this morning.

Dense fog patches have developed in the region and are expected to dissipate this morning, according to the Government of Canada.

The alert warns that travel is expected to be hazardous in the area due to reduced visibility in some locations, and that drivers should be prepared for areas of near-zero visibility.
