The second annual Diamond Valley Show & Shine could bring as many as 300 vehicles of all descriptions to town tomorrow.
Hosted by the Diamond Valley Car Club, the event will be held on Sunday, July 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. along 1st Avenue SW in Black Diamond.
Besides cars, trucks and motorcycles, new additions to the event this year include the Man Van and the Teamsters Local 362 semitruck with a stage and DJ.
There will also be food trucks and the High River-based car club River City Classics will be selling raffle tickets for a 2006 Mini Cooper S convertible.
Raffle tickets will be sold for other prizes, from dinner for two at Longview Steakhouse to gift certificates for hundreds of dollars' worth of car services.
Although not connected to the event, a beer garden with live music will be held at The Feed Lot near the site of the show & shine.
For those looking to register a vehicle, the cost is $20 and registration starts at 8 a.m.
The Diamond Valley Car Club is a registered non-profit with about 54 members. The club holds a weekly get-together at the local A&W on Friday nights.
