Diamond Valley rang in the new year with a party.

The Town, along with partners, hosted a Starry Night Spectacular to celebrate New Year's Eve. The event at the Flare n' Derrick Community Hall and Millenium Park featured hayrides and firepits, a dance party, crafts, face painting, and food and drinks.

In addition, Star Wars characters from the 501st Legion made an appearance, and members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada set up telescopes in the park before fireworks wrapped up the event.

The Diamond Valley Sustainable Living Centre partnered with the Town and chose the Starry Night theme.

A New Year's Eve celebration has been held in the community annually since 2010.
