UPDATE: One person seriously injured in incident west of Diamond Valley

One person has life-threatening injuries after an incident near Diamond Valley.

Paramedics and other emergency crews responded to an incident on Highway 546 at 208 Street West, west of the town, at about 12:15 p.m. on Oct. 31., an EMS spokesperson said.

The injured person, an adult, was flown to hospital by STARS and Hwy. 546. was closed.

At 1:15 p.m., Diamond Valley Fire Rescue said the highway remains closed and emergency crews are still on scene.

The highway reopened to traffic shortly after 2 p.m.

No details about the cause or nature of the incident are currently available.
