Open house to explore a community centre in Diamond Valley

The Sheep River Library in Diamond Valley. The Diamond Valley Community Association is holding an open house at the library on Nov. 30 to explore the idea of a community recreation centre for the area.

Does Diamond Valley need a community recreation centre?

A volunteer group is holding an open house on Saturday, Nov. 30 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Sheep River Library to hear from residents.

The Diamond Valley Community Association is exploring the development of a rec centre that it says could enhance well-being, inclusivity and opportunities in the area.

The community association is asking for input to see if the project would help meet local needs.

All are welcome to share ideas, ask questions and give feedback on potential amenities and programs that a community centre could have, the organization said.
