The local chamber celebrated businesses opened between 2019 and 2023.

The Okotoks & District Chamber of Commerce held its second annual gala on Saturday, June 8 at Sprung Structures in Aldersyde.

At the event, which was originally scheduled for March 2 but rescheduled due to poor weather, the Chamber recognized local businesses with an emphasis on those that opened between 2019 and 2023.

"Your perseverance tonight is a testament to the strength and vitality of our business community," said Dawn LeMaistre, executive director of the Okotoks & District Chamber of Commerce, in a speech.

"Whether you're a long-standing chamber member, a new entrepreneur, or a dedicated supporter, your contributions play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our chamber and the prosperity of our local business community."

The Okotoks & District Chamber of Commerce was named 2023 Chamber of the Year in the 150 to 499 membership category by the Alberta Chambers of Commerce during the AGM last month.
