HELPING HANDS — The High River and Okotoks Royal Canadian Legion presented cheques totalling $18,825 to Foothills Country Hospice executive director Dawn Elliott June 18 in High River. The funds, which were raised through the respective legions poppy sale campaigns in November, to purchase three lifts for patients. The lifts will have tracks on the roof to assist staff and patients. At present the hospice uses a portable lift. From left, High River Legion poppy campaign chairperson Linda Reed, High River Legion president Bob Collins, Elliott, Okotoks Legion poppy campaign chairperson Nancy Tonn and Okotoks Legion past president Bob McLeod.
