Construction has begun on the lights at Dunbow Road and Highway 2A.
Alberta Transportation is doing work on Highways 2, 2A, 552 and 48 Street E near Okotoks, which is likely to cause traffic delays.

Drivers coming to and from Okotoks will have to be a bit more patient this summer.

Alberta Transportation has begun work on roads in the area that could result in traffic delays.

Highways 2, 2A, 552 and 48 Street E are expected to be affected by the milling, paving, line painting and improvement and installation of street lights in the coming weeks and months.

According to the Town, the project is expected to be in progress until mid-September, weather permitting.

Drivers can expect lane closures, one-lane travel and overpass ramp closure, all of which are likely to cause stalling traffic.

Motorists are asked to watch for construction and speed reduction signs, flag operators, crews and equipment while exercising caution in the area.

Updates on the project can be accessed via Alberta 511
