Fog advisory issued in southern Alberta

Potential for freezing drizzle, poor visibility on roads around Okotoks, Foothills County
weather

Heads up to commuters on Sunday in the Okotoks area as visibility might be an issue.

Environment Canada issued a fog advisory just after 9 a.m. on Sunday, March 16 stating dense fog formed early this morning in southern Alberta, with the advisory listing Okotoks and Foothills County near DeWinton. Freezing drizzle is also possible in these regions, causing slippery conditions.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.

The fog is expected to dissipate by noon.

The forecast for Sunday in Okotoks calls for a 30 per cent chance of flurries with temperatures dipping to -6C a few flurries overnight with upto 2 cm of snow expected. Monday will see temperatures soar back to 7C with mainly sunny skies.
