GALLERY: Cars gather for a good cause at Okotoks Show & Shine

The annual car show brought hundreds of unique vehicles from across Canada to town on Aug. 18.

Olde Towne was packed with thousands of car buffs for the annual Okotoks Show & Shine.

Organized by the Kin Club of Okotoks, the event brought hundreds of unique vehicles from across Canada to Elizabeth and McRae streets on Aug. 18.

After relocating to the area around Seaman Stadium last year, the annual car show returned to its usual location in Olde Towne — where it has been held since 2009 — for this year's edition.

Last year's relocation was due to a volunteer shortage, which was not an issue this year as about 120 volunteers helped out at this year's event, said volunteer coordinator Tannis Patnoe.

"They went above and beyond what was asked of them," she said.

Charities on-site at this year's event included the Okotoks Food Bank, Rowan House, Kidsport and Inclusion Foothills.
