An Okotoks roadway was transformed into a raceway on Saturday.
One hundred children took part in the 33rd annual Rotary Club of Okotoks Soap Box Derby on June 3, flying down Crystal Ridge Drive on all sorts of creations.
Some racers went for pure speed, while others opted for the eclectic.
What they had in common was they were all racing for a good cause, as proceeds from the event go right back into community-based initiatives that benefit youth.
The fastest of the day was Dylan Ross with a time of 32:50 and speed of 44 km/h.
