The Jive-Off tradition continues at St. John Paul II Collegiate in Okotoks.

The Jive-Off tradition continues at St. John Paul II Collegiate in Okotoks.

Each year, students take what they learn in the dance component of the physical education curriculum and show off their moves in a school-wide dance competition.

Students in each grade at the junior high take part, with awards going to the top dancers in each grade.

“The school is very proud of this tradition, and the way that the curriculum comes alive with the enthusiasm and competitiveness of the students,” teacher Andrea McGeachie said.
