Students at St. Mary's School in Okotoks had a little fun at their teachers' expense during a fundraiser last week.

The school was fundraising for the Terry Fox Cancer Research Foundation and held several activities on Sept. 20.

For one event, students, school staff and parents gathered in the gym to see several teachers get a pie in the face. Students bought tickets and names were drawn to determine who would get a chance to pie a teacher.

Pies were made of whip cream in a pie plate.

In total, the school raised over $5,600 for cancer research and held other events throughout the day, including a Terry Fox walk and a special assembly.
