A GoFundMe has been started for Courtney Taylor and family following a serious car accident.

A GoFundMe has been started for the family of an Okotoks woman who was seriously injured in a car accident.

Courtney Taylor is spending the holidays in hospital after the accident earlier this month and is facing a long recovery after multiple surgeries, according to the GoFundMe

Organizer Amanda Aasen said the fundraiser is being held to help ease the burdens the family is going through.

“We would love to be able to provide them with some funds to ease the financial burdens and to help with the cost of hospital parking, gas (and) travelling to and from Calgary and Okotoks,” Aasen wrote.

“Her husband has his days filled driving back-and-forth to the hospital, supporting his wife, caring for his children, all while still trying to make the holidays special for them.”

Just over $8,000 has been raised towards the goal of $10,000, and Aasen said any donations will make a big difference in allowing the family to heal.
