Teens are being asked to fill out an online survey so the Town of Okotoks can learn more about the social needs of local youth.

The Town of Okotoks is conducting an online survey for teens to find out what it's like to grow up around here.

Part of a larger Social Needs Assessment, the youth survey, for ages 12 to 18, aims to find out what’s important to young people and how Town services can best serve them.

The survey is open until Dec. 15 and can be accessed at shapeourtown.okotoks.ca/social-needs-assessment

It is anonymous and takes about 10 minutes to complete.

Survey questions touch on programs and recreation activities, finding work, sense of belonging, transportation options, social services and more.

The survey follows outreach this fall where Town representatives visited schools and youth spaces as well as talked to community workers and other members to better understand what’s important to youth.
