The herd is assembling ahead of the Heritage Junior Hockey League season.
The Carstar Okotoks Bisons are back on the ice for their first and only exhibition game on Friday, Sept. 13 against the visiting Strathmore Agra Risk Wheat Kings at the Murray Arena at 7:30 p.m.
Okotoks, three-time defending HJHL champions and the reigning Junior B provincial titleholders, is expected to have a good mix of veteran returning players and new recruits this season.
The team’s training camp runs from Sept. 3-12.
The Bisons’ regular season begins on Sept. 20 with the Battle of the Foothills against the High River Flyers kicking off the campaign, an 8 p.m. start at the Murray Arena. Okotoks then plays the Medicine Hat Cubs on Sept. 21 as part of the opening homestand.
