Foothills Storm forward Ava Dease scored the shootout winner in the 4-3 win over the Central Alberta Amazons on Nov. 3 at the Delburne Arena.

Momentum is on the side of the Foothills Storm with a big weekend on the docket.

The Storm outlasted the Central Alberta Amazons 4-3 in a shootout on Nov. 3 in Delburne to earn its third win of the Alberta Junior Female Hockey League season in dramatic fashion.

Ava Dease scored the only goal through three rounds of shooters with netminder Paige Williams shutting the door on the Amazons at the other end of the ice.

Williams had 40 saves in regulation time with Dease, Mila Preville and Chayse Misana providing the offence for the visitors.

The Storm skated to a 3-1 loss to Fort Saskatchewan at home ice on Nov. 2.

This weekend, the Storm (3-7) take on the undefeated Cochrane Chaos (11-0) for a home-and-home. Foothills is home to Cochrane on Nov. 9 at the Viking Rentals Centre (Gold) at 6:45 p.m. with the return fixture the following evening on the road.
