Evelyn (née Dobson) was born on December 10, 1931. She grew up on her family farm near the town of Rouleau, SK.

Evelyn went to grade school at the nearby country school and then completed nursing at the Grey Nuns Hospital in Regina. Upon graduating she worked in several country hospitals and then concluded her nursing career where she began, at the Grey Nuns Hospital.

Shortly thereafter she met her sweetie, Wilbur Richter, and they were married April 8th, 1961. They settled on a farm near Tyvan, SK where they grain farmed and raised three daughters Rhonda, Hollis, and Glenda.

In July 1981 the family moved to the foothills of Alberta west of Millarville. After a couple of years they began a hay business delivering hay and straw bales throughout the area.

Evelyn and Wilbur lived a full and happy life enjoying their family. They were very proud of each of their grandchildren and were an active part of their lives. After Wilbur passed away in 2015, Evelyn moved to a Senior living condo in Okotoks. She spent the last three years at Tudor Manor.

Evelyn passed away peacefully at Foothills Country Hospice, in Okotoks Alberta with family by her side.
