July 22, 1949 – March 19, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the
peaceful passing of Lynda Lucille Sparrow
on March 19, 2025, at the age of 75. She
was predeceased by her parents, Betty and
Leonard Sparrow and her nephew, Samual.
Lynda will be deeply missed by her loving
sisters, Joan, Pat, Debi (Brent), and
Wendy (Bob); her cherished nieces and
nephews, Kymberly, Sasha, Joalena, Marci,
Ben, Veronica, Becky, and Alanna; and her
great-nieces and nephews, Jazzyra, Zahra,
Shahr, Gabe, Eli, Jude, Chase, and Adeline.
Born in Lethbridge on July 22, 1949,
Lynda spent most of her life in Okotoks
before moving to Rising Sun Long-Term
Care in Diamond Valley. She dedicated
many years to Eades Electric, Fred Deeves
Company and later served her community as
a commissionaire in the Okotoks area.
A pillar of strength in the AA community,
Lynda proudly celebrated 40 years of
sobriety, sponsoring and inspiring many
along the way. Lynda was a devoted nanny
to many of her nieces, playing an integral
role in their upbringing with her wisdom
and guidance.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the
compassionate staff at Foothills Hospital for
their care and kindness. Honouring Lynda’s
wishes, there will be no service. She leaves
us with these parting words:
“To all the friends who shared their lives with
me over the years – Thank you, and I hope
we meet again.”
