OCTOBER 5, 1951 – MARCH 20, 2022
It is with sadness that we announce the sudden
passing of Ronald F. Waddell on March 20, 2022
at the age of 70. Ronald is survived by his sister
Shirley Gray; niece Roberta (Sheldon) Waddell;
sister-in-law Lila Waddell (nee Sheepy);
and his cousins and many friends. Ron was
predeceased by his parents Alex and Doris
Waddell, brother Gordon Waddell and brotherin-
law Earl Gray.
Ron spent the majority of his life farming in the
district of Red Deer Lake on the land the family
has owned since 1911. He continued his life of
farming until his passing. He was an avid reader
and had many hands-on talents including
mechanics and carpentry. In his younger years
he travelled to New Zealand, Australia, Japan
and throughout the US and Canada. He will
always be remembered for his great sense of
humor, quick wit and well-timed one-liners.
A private family service was held.A Celebration
of Life for Ronald and Gordon will take place at
a later date.

be made directly to Calgary Humane Society or
Pound Rescue in Okotoks.
